Shout out to my Mom, Jane, for making this dessert when I was growing up. It remains one of my favorites to this day (although she hasn't made it in a while...hint hint, Mom). Classic apple pie spices like cinnamon and clove give way to almond, fresh apples, buttery crust notes and caramel. What's not to love?!
